Here’s the detailed overview of senior’s year-end events .  


The AP Calculus Exam is this morning; the AP Environmental Science exam is Thursday afternoon.


Sophomore Passage presentations continue this week. Contact your child’s crew advisor for details on when your sophomore may be presenting.


Everyone is invited to our semi-annual Family Crew Night, THIS Thursday, May 27th,  from 6:30-7:30 in a Zoom Webinar (link is here) . Come celebrate the 2nd half of the year and learn what our students have been up to.  


Since Memorial Day is next Monday and there’s no school, please know that Tuesday June 1st will follow an A Day Schedule and Wednesday June 2nd will follow a B Day Schedule. That’s right Wednesday, June 2nd will follow an in-person B-Day schedule for all students Grades 9-11 (9:30am-3:30pm). (Seniors have no classes, but they do have a graduation rehearsal starting at 9am.) Moreover, juniors will have in-person crew on Wednesday, June 2nd (along with Grade 10), so they can watch the Senior Awards Assembly (12-1pm)

For 9th-11th grade, Tuesday, June 15th is the last day of school. In addition to year end activities for all 9th-11th graders on June 14th and 15th, Sun School will be integrated into the schedule for eligible students. Watch for more details from your grade level teachers about the schedule for your particular grade level.

Portland-Wide Summer Opportunities 

NEW There are many paid summer internships this summer for PPS HS students! Please use this combined application to apply for the program or programs that interest you by June 4. This program is open to ALL students. Internship opportunities include restorative justice, racial justice, teaching, making videos, leadership, and community development

Join One of Portland’s New Student Affinity Groups this Summer

This summer program will focus on leadership & identity development for rising 9th-12th graders. The program will run for a week with the Friday session organized for college visits in the Boston area.

White- July 26-30

Hours: 10AM-2PM (to be confirmed) – M-TH, Friday (all day Field Trip)

Help Needed with PAG for Next Fall

Additionally PAG is looking to recruit parents for next year’s open positions:

Secretary: Someone with proficiency in Google Workplace/G-Suite a plus

9th, 10th and 12th grade Parent Community Liaisons: These parents will attend PAG meetings, assist when needed with class activities and solicit parents to provide assistance and support the Volunteer Coordinator.

Annual Appeal Chair: Someone who is comfortable with reaching out to parents and alumni to support a financial contribution and our annual appeal.

Math Cup Chair: Organize the March Math Cup, solicit teams with the help of other volunteers, organize volunteer staff for supplying a lasagna dinner, oversee the event the night of. This person should be comfortable working with the Treasurer to solicit teams and sponsorships from the business community.

Project Graduation: Leads fundraising, and other events for senior Project Grad. Assembles group of interested parents who decide on a location, activities, and manage the whole event.
