The winter trimester concludes this Friday, March 12th. Students should do all they can to be meeting course standards before then. This is senior expedition culmination week. Many seniors will be sharing their “Casco Talks” with sophomores and juniors during in-person time this week. 

Thanks to PAG and the Bellas family for orchestrating last Friday’s super-fun Game Night. And congrats to Quaranteam for vanquishing the competition and earning the $100 gift certificate to Portland Pie.

Superintendent Xavier Botana, the Portland Board of Public Education and its Public Affairs Committee invite Portland residents to a public forum tonight (Monday, 6 to 7:30)  on the district's budget priorities for 2021-22, which are focused on advancing equity, one of the four goals of the Portland Promise, the Portland Public Schools’ strategic plan. The zoom link is in the flyer which is in different languages. Acholi, Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, Vietnamese


All are encouraged to attend this Tuesday night’s Parent Advisory Group meeting from 5:30-7pm. Nurse Bell will be joining us and our educational focus will be on answering your health & safety questions as well as  plans for increased in-person time this spring. We will also be talking about upcoming PAG events such as the Math Cup and the 360 Arts Fest.

Math Cup: Have you watched the Super Bowl?  Tuned into the Stanley Cup? Cheered on the World Series? Now’s your chance to experience the thrill of the Math Cup-which is going professional and virtual this year! Grab some mathletes from your organization or neighborhood to compete for the coveted CBHS Math Cup on Wednesday, March 31 from 6:00 to 8:00


Your business or organization can sponsor a team and bring your own mathletes or sponsor a student team.  The funds support math and science for all CBHS students. Click here for registration and more information.   Celebrate March Mathness and slam dunk the quadratic equation!

*Due to the SATs on March 24th, the second date for Mud School for grade 11 will be Friday, March 19th, in place of Learning Center time.
