It's Not Too Late for Flu Shots
We have had a considerable amount of confirmed cases of Influenza Type B over the past 2 weeks.   It's not too late to have your child vaccinated.
If interested, please download this form, complete it, and either email it to Nurse Bell (bellre@portlandschools.org) fax it at 797-5437, or send it in with the student.   The School Based Health Center is providing the flu shots free of charge. Nurse Bell will schedule your student on either aTuesday or Friday, the days the clinic is open. Click on Here for the flu shot form. Thanks much!
You can also find the form on the CBHS website.  Go to:  www.portlandschools.org, then click on Parents, then Health.  The link to the "Flu Shot Questionnaire" is at the bottom.

Advice from Nurse Bell: If your student has a fever of more than 100.4, has body aches, headache and/or chills please keep them home and consider getting them tested for flu. If positive, please keep them home at least 5 days."

Courageous Conversation this Week - Beauty Standards

Savannah Wales (the proposer of this conversation) will provide some BG and education on the topic at school meeting; it is also the subject of her Senior Expedition. This conversation will fit into the category of conversations that we’ve labelled “out from under the rug.” It will also involve some sharing of personal truths.

Training for Facilitators: Tuesday Acad (Monday TST for 9th Graders)

Thursday will have an adjusted schedule to allow for a 50 minute crew for the CC.

Support the Literary Magazine and find your future love! Scan the QR code that is posted all around the school. Everyone can scan to answer the questions, but we won't help you find your BAE until you pay! It's only 5 dollars (and really, how can you put a price on love). Find Sydney or Liv In the great space during lunch and begin the journey.
