Headline News

The winter trimester ends 2 weeks from Friday, March 12th. Juniors will be culminating their public policy expedition next week, including presentations on March 4th and 5th. 12th graders will be culminating their Senior Expeditions the week of March 8th.

The district is committing to more in-person time for 10th-12th graders in the coming weeks. Plans will be discussed at Tuesday’s School Board meeting. We will share more details as plans finalize. We look forward to having more in-person time with students while maintaining our vigilance about student health and safety.

A week from this Friday, March 5th will be CBHS’s first ever virtual game night from 6 to 8pm.  All are invited to join in for this FREE, fun, competitive, virtual night of trivia, geography, pop culture, emoji decoder, pictionary, and more! Put together your dream team of 3 to 6 players – you don’t have to physically be in the same location to compete with other CBHS teams.  Any squad of family and/or friends is welcome. The winning team will receive a pizza feast from Portland Pie. Sign up your team here. 2021 CBHS MATH CUP IS BACK!

On Wednesday, March 31, CBHS will sponsor the thrilling 2021 Math Cup.  A virtual evening of math competition with school and community teams vying for the famed Casco Bay Math Cup.  Join us for a fun evening and the opportunity to compete for this prestigious award.

We invite teams of four – made up of members from area businesses and organizations or local math-stars assembled for the occasion.  Teams engage in numerous math challenges drawing on elements from Jeopardy to Survivor.  Casco Bay student teams will also be competing.

This year, students will interact with the adult teams and learn more about their respective companies and math journey!

Why Math Cup?  The Math Cup raises money to support CBHS Math and Science programs that benefit all CBHS students.

Come join us!

Your business can compete or sponsor a student team.  The tax-deductible entry or sponsorship fee is $250 per team.   If interested, you can complete the form or contact Susan Lieberman at liebs@maine.rr.com or home 773-4691.
