Headline News
We invite you and your child to participate in two interrelated conferences next week to review how your child is doing in school and to learn more about what is going on at CBHS this year. In an attempt to increase the substance and value of conferences for all participants, we are going to try two new elements this fall.
1)    A ten minute pre-conference with you and your child prior to your scheduled conference. Grade level details will follow soon.
2) As you may have heard, as a part of the typical 30 minute conference with you, your child and your child’s crew advisor , for the first time, we will be discussing a “crucial question” that you raise. Please submit your crucial question in advance through the link on the CBHS homepage.
If your child qualifies for Free and Reduced lunch and you have not yet turned in an application, this week is the last chance. Qualified students also become eligible for for scholarships as well as reductions in Junior Journey costs, testing and application fees. An application can be obtained at the Main Office.

Cougar Kudos to Junior Garrison Wickerd for being Student of the Quarter in the PATHS Woodworking program. And to the senior team which vanquished the pesky and talented sophomore and junior teams to be our HS Quiz Team reps. And to Atak for earning a standing ovation after his keynote address to 1200 educators in Chicago. And finally to the Sophomores for raising over $2000 for Africa Rising at Friday’s dance.

Sophomores will receive their bystander training through Wellness classes in the coming week.
