Here are this week's student announcements

We will be having a school-wide courageous conversation about money during in-person time, beginning this week. 

Last week at school meeting, I shared this 5 minute video summarizing the data from the round of survey data from parents, students and staff earlier this month. Thanks to everyone who shared their input.

1st trimester progress reports are now viewable online on Infinite Campus.

10th and 11th graders will take the PSAT's this Thursday on the 29th. Consequently, Wednesday the 28th will follow a typical Thursday schedule (9:30-3:30pm). 11th graders should arrive at school at 7:30am on Thursday (and will be done around 11am). Sophomores should arrive at noon (and will be done at 3:30).

Our next PAG meeting will be November 10th - 5:30-7pm. In addition to working on the Casco Bay Conundrum and the Annual Appeal, we will have our first parent education discussion topic of the year: How do we keep our kids joyful and engaged in a time of global despair and tumult?

Help Wanted: We are looking for some parents to help organize and plan PAG's new community-building event, the Casco Bay Conundrum (11/20-21) with staff and students. Please contact chair@cbhsfamily.org or piercd@portlandschools.org if you are interested. What is the Casco Bay Conundrum? the Casco Bay Conundrum. Teams will have 24 hours to complete a slew of designated challenges that are part scavenger hunt/part Odyssey of the Mind. There can be student teams, alumni teams, family teams, staff teams -- all competing for fabulous (truly) prizes.

Fall conferences this year will be Nov 17th (4-7:30) and Nov. 18th (3:30-7); you should be hearing from your child's crew advisor soon to sign up for a time
