Our next PAG meeting is this Tuesday, January 14th from 5:30-7pm (in the Great Space). Our educational focus will be on helping our teenagers manage stress and anxiety. We will be joined by 2 social workers and 2 CBHS seniors for the discussion.  We will also be focusing on Family Crew Night (1/16) and our first ever CBHS Film Festival (February 6th). All are welcome!
This Wednesday, January 15th is an 11:30am release for professional development. It is also a senior expedition field work day. With teacher and parent approval, seniors may do senior expedition-related field work.
All CBHS families are also encouraged to come to our semi-annual Full Family Crew Night THIS Thursday, January 16th - 6:30-8:00pm. It's a dessert pot-luck and a showcase of great student work from expeditions and intensives from the first half of the year. We will also preview what's coming up in the 2nd half of the year and present our first ever faculty and alumni navigator awards. We hope to see you there!

Mid-year conferences this year will take place during the last week of January, typically January 29th (4-8pm) or January 30th (2:30-5:30pm). Your child's crew advisor may offer different times in the vicinity of those dates. Watch for details soon .
The minutes from the December PAG meeting are attached.
Help Wanted
1) Outing Club is looking for another adult to join us for our upcoming winter trip overnight at Frost Mountain Yurts in Brownfield. We will leave CBHS at 3 pm this Friday and return Saturday by 4 pm. It's a great group of students and the yurts are pretty sweet!
Contact Jenny Crowley ( FMI or if you are interested.
Thanks for considering!
 2) The juniors are holding a Winter Ball as a fundraiser for Junior Journey on Friday, January 24th and we’re looking for donations of snacks and drinks. Anything you can make or buy would be appreciated. Help support the juniors!
3) From Susan McCray: Juniors have just launched their second expedition of the year, the People of Porltand Storytelling Project. I am writing because in order to make the project happen, we need a fleet of parent volunteers willing to drive teams of students to interview appointments. (It's our very own CBHS Uber service.)  We somehow pulled this off last year, and I am so hoping it will all work out again.
Times are during the school day and the dates include Jan 29, 39, 31, Feb 4, 5, & 6. If you think you might be able to help, please see the linked Google Doc, Parent Volunteer Drivers, where you will find a specific calendar and places to sign up.
We so appreciate any time you can give!

There are a limited number of spots (12). Interested students should email Ms. Crowley by Tuesday at 2:30 pm and bring their trip fee ($30 or $15 for free/reduced lunch) to the outing club meeting on Thursday lunch in Haiti. We will be discussing trip details further at the meeting.

Seniors- Please know that if you make additions to your Naviance account college list, you MUST let your school counselor (Pierce, Doyle, Shibles, Hale/Drew) know about these changes. As counselors we have no way of knowing if you have added a school to your list of colleges or universities. In addition, if you have decided to remove some schools from your list, please see Ms. Doyle to update your Naviance account.
