Headline News - November 8th

Thanks to everyone who came out to conferences last week. It is always fantastic to get to do school one student at a time.

Our next PAG meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday 11/9 from 5:30-7pm (Google meets or in person). Our educational topic will focus on teen mental health. What community and school supports are available and what can parents do? We will also be checking in on the Casco Bay Conundrum and the Annual Appeal. All parents are welcome!

We encourage you to come in person, but our PAG meeting will also be accessible through Google Meet at this link: meet.google.com/vnj-nmhe-bak

There is no school Thursday (Veteran’s Day) or Friday of this week in PPS.

The Casco Bay Conundrum is BACK! What is it? Teams of 4 (3 minimum and 5 maximum) will tackle 24 fun and creative challenges in their own way and in their own time over 24 hours. Teams may all be together or all over the world.  The Conundrum will be launched at 5pm on Friday, November 19th. Teams may be comprised of any 4 humans: families, students, alums.... Assemble your own Dream Team. All answers to challenges must be submitted by 5pm on Saturday, November 20th. Sign up your team here. The link is also on the CBHS homepage

HELP Wanted - We could use 4 or 5 parent judges for the Casco Bay Conundrum. No experience in judicial robes necessary. Just a good sense of humor and taste you are convinced is impeccable (at least some times). Judges will need to donate a few hours on Sunday, November 20th or Monday, November 21st to review Conundrum team responses for several challenges and determine the best in each category. All judge work can be completed in your own home and at a time of day of your choosing. If you are interested or would like to know more, please contact Derek Pierce at [email protected]. Thanks for considering!
