Headline News - November 29th - the first day of the Winter Trimester

On Monday or Tuesday, sophomores will be engaged in ½ day fieldwork related to local Black history led by Atlantic Black Box in downtown Portland. Details about the schedule are here. Thanks to PAG for the funding to make this possible!

1st trimester grades will be viewable on Infinite Campus  by the end of the day Wednesday.

Frost School will be offered during BK 7s (3 to 4pm) over the next two weeks in many courses as the last opportunity for students to meet fall trimester standards and earn UPs. You can find more details about Frost School here and a detailed schedule of when participating teachers are available here. Participating students are advised to do or revise whatever work they can before December 6th. Frost School and time with teachers is short.  We urge all eligible students to take this opportunity to get back on track and earn UPs in a course

We will be having a school-wide courageous conversation on social media and technology usage on Thursday.

All are invited to next Tuesday’s (12/7) PAG meeting - 5:30-7pm in the Great Space. Following up on the students’ conversation, our parent educational topic will also center on teens’ use of technology and social media. All are welcome to join - in person or via Google Meet.

Help Wanted

The Trash to Art intensive asks the CBHS community to help us collect #2 clear plastic milk and water jugs. (Apple cider and white vinegar are other liquids that often come in #2 clear plastic containers, and we'll take those too.) The recyclables we collect will be shredded, melted and turned into art, rather than ending up in landfills and oceans! Please bring empty, rinsed containers to Mr. Ford in Sweden.
