We look forward to seeing you (in person or over Zoom) at conferences this week...

CBHS Fall 2021 Conferences: Student, Crew Advisor and Parent

THIS Monday: 11/1 (4-8pm) and Thursday: 11/4 (3-6pm)

If you do not already have a time, please contact your child’s crew advisor to sign up for a time. All students are expected to lead thirty-minute conferences with their crew advisor and a parent or guardian. Successfully completing the conference and conference preparation (often written reflections) is a standard for meeting standards in crew. The conferences are scheduled nearly several weeks before trimester's end, so there is time afterwards for a final push as necessary.

Thanks to all of those who submitted parent “Crucial Questions” in advance. There’s still an opportunity to raise your questions at the conference itself, following your student’s sharing.

This Tuesday 11/3 will  be an 11:50 dismissal due to conferences on 11/1 and 11/4. Tuesday 11/23 will also be an 11:50 dismissal for students as a compensation for teachers due to the evening conferences this week.

Our next PAG meeting will be NEXT Tuesday 11/9 from 5:30-7pm (Zoom or in person). Our educational topic will focus on teen mental health. What community and school supports are available and what can parents do? We will also be checking in on the Casco Bay Conundrum and the Annual Appeal .

The Casco Bay Conundrum is BACK! What is it? Teams of 4 (3 minimum and 5 maximum) will tackle 24 fun and creative challenges in their own way and in their own time over 24 hours. Teams may all be together or all over the world.  The Conundrum will be launched at 5pm on Friday, November 19th. Teams may be comprised of any 4 humans: families, students, alums.... Assemble your own Dream Team. All answers to challenges must be submitted by 5pm on Saturday, November 20th. Sign up your team here. The link is also on the CBHS homepage

Reminders

Students are strongly encouraged to bring their own clean, cloth mask to school each day. We will provide disposable masks as needed, but clean cloth masks from home are preferable.

If you are dropping off or picking up your students, it’s preferable to use the traffic circle unless the circle is filled with school busses.
