Headline News
We
had a remarkably smooth first few days of school last week – especially
given our increased size and new spaces. Thanks for all you did to make
your student ready for school (and to complete the tsunami of
paperwork). And thanks to all of the volunteers who helped lug and paint
and scrape and tidy to get our space looking good.
Our
Parent Advisory Group (PAG) is meeting THIS Tuesday (9/9) – 5:30 to
7pm. All are welcome. We will be looking at the year ahead, getting to
know one another, filling vacant leadership positions, reviewing recent
school achievement data, discussing the O’Toole Award, setting budget
priorities and reviewing Open House. Please come if you can.
Watch
for more details later this week about how you can help CBHS increase
our 1 in 6 chance to win a $100,000 prize for student-centered learning.
If
you know of another CBHS parent who would like to receive the weekly
parent newsflash, please ask them to contact Deb Kierstead (874-8160 or kiersd@portlandschools.org) and request to be added to the parent e-mail list for their child’s grade.
