Community Resources

A new $3.2 billion federal initiative, called the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program, can help lower the cost of high-speed internet for eligible households during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligible households can get benefits that include up to $50/month discount for broadband services and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet purchased through a participating provider. Households that are eligible include the following, if one member of the household:

  • Qualifies for the Lifeline program, including those who are on Medicaid or receive SNAP benefits;

  • Receives benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, or did so in the 2019- 2020 school year;

  • Experienced a substantial loss of income since February 29, 2020, and

  • The household had a total income in 2020 below $99,000 for single filers and $198,000 for joint filers.

From Black P.O.W.E.R

 "Last month, we launched a mutual aid fundraiser with the goal of building a network of solidarity, interdependence, and mutual support. In the following weeks, the community came through. Thanks to you all, we have the resources needed to provide some support for those who need it.

Everyone is eligible to apply for the community fund. We will be prioritizing queer/transgender/non-binary/ intersex Black, Indigenous folks and other LGBTQI+ PoC.  Youth are encouraged to apply!

Community members can now apply by clicking the link: https://airtable.com/shrm2DutrI77QQjjC and filling out the form. We will be asking for some information to process requests.

We will be contacting folks in the next few weeks to talk specifically about your application, how much you qualify for, and how funds will be distributed."

Schedules by grade level and AM/PM Cohorts are here. And, as a reminder, the fundamentals of our health and safety protocols are in our Covid Community Contract
