Cougar kudos to the cast and crew of the one act play, A Rocky Situation for their performance at the one act play festival. Congrats to Sam Clifford for his acting award and Evie, Phoebe and Anthony for their playwriting award.

I know some of you have tried to sign up to volunteer or donate food on the Math Cup spreadsheet and have been foiled. Please contact if you can bring food or help out in the mean time.

Cabinet Update:

a)      The next Courageous Conversation – how do we help others/ourselves when struggling (with mental health issues)  - will be on Thursday, March 22nd. Training for facilitators will take place in the wellness room during Acad this Thursday. The deadline for proposing a topic for our next Courageous Conversation is a week from Friday, March 23rd. Proposal forms are available outside Mr. Pierce’s office.

b)     The Cabinet approved two aspects of the recent governance proposal: starting next fall, there will be 2 reps per grade level in Cabinet – and there will an additional member elected as Cabinet Chairperson. We would like additional feedback from crews this week on 3 remaining questions. Advisors have the link to the google form with details.

Intensives are designed to provide opportunities for compact, in-depth learning experiences with compelling topics for all CBHS students.  All students enrolled in an intensive will receive a grade and the opportunity to earn .5 units of proficiency, Students may propose an independent intensive or alternate course of study (eg: an internship or double session of PATHS); these options require administrative approval and must be proposed in writing by the student (with crew advisor and home support) at least two school weeks prior to the start of intensives, by March 23rd.

SENIORS Attending USM in the Fall: USM College Conversations connects seniors with an academic advisor who visits you at Casco to help them transition to USM - how cool is that?! See Mrs. Hampton for more information or call 228-8199.

10th and 11th graders interested in taking a USM or SMCC course next year: did you know this year is the last time CBHS will offer the accuplacer at school?! Next year you will have to take it at the college. Please see Mrs. Hampton to sign up for a future time to take it at CBHS if you would like to use your accuplacer scores as a prerequisite for the college course. PSAT and SAT scores can be used as well.
