All are invited to the Parent Advisory Group Meeting tonight Tuesday (10/10, 5:30-7pm). Agenda items will include a review of teacher grant proposals, the Crafts Fair and educational topics for the year.

Bill Smith’s  Financial Literacy and College Planning TONIGHT - 7:00pm-8:30 (Great Space)
This presentation will take the mystery out of financial aid and college cost for students and parents. The more you understand about financial aid, the better you'll be able to make good college choices and manage the cost of a college education. Topics include: types of aid such as grants, scholarships, work/study, loans; need and merit-based aid; information about financial aid applications such as the FAFSA and the Profile; estimating how much aid you'll get before you apply and tips to help you manage the cost of college.  All CBHS parents and students welcome.
The Senior Crew with the most participation/ attendance wins a Breakfast or Ice Cream Party from Mrs. Hampton.  All students and parents are welcome.

All are invited to the Cougar Café (formerly the Moth) this Friday – 7:00-8:30.  Come hear student performers, share a story or just listen and eat dessert (pot luck). The theme for the stories for the evening event is “luck.” All storytellers, music-makers and dessert-eaters (parents, friends, students) welcome.

Sign up to volunteer for the Crafts Fair (11/18). Thanks to everyone who’s already signed up. We especially could use some help with Crafter Recuitment.
Sophomores and Juniors: The PSATs are this Wednesday. The PSAT’s cost $16. Fees are waived for students who receive free/reduced lunch.

Sophomore and Junior Parents: We are also seeking healthy breakfast foods, snacks and drinks for a pre-PSAT breakfast - 7:30-55am. Thanks in advance for any contributions.

1st Trimester Progress Report grades will be viewable on Infinite Campus by this Thursday, and they will be mailed home on Friday.

It is considerably less expensive to have your fruit order shipped to the school than directly to a recipient; however, for an added charge, the latter option is available and generates additional funds for Project Grad.
Orders will be taken through November 10, 2017, with delivery to the school at a date to be announced between November 26 and December 16.  If you are unable to pick up the fruit at school, or have your student do so, we will deliver it to your home.
What a deal, eh?!
Happy shopping,
Susanni Douville, Chief Citrus Cheerleader
(I will soon have in hand printed brochures and order sheets for those who prefer ordering in that fashion - please just let me know!)

Reminder: If you would like your child to get a flu shot through school, find the forms and more info https://cbhs.portlandschools.org/for_parents/health
