Headline News  

Spring trimester Progress Reports for students grades 9-11 are viewable online by day’s end Wednesday. Hard copies will be shared with students today. Students with one or more “2s” on their progress report may be required to stay for BK 7 this week.

Thanks to all the parents who spoiled staff during staff appreciation week last week with a sumptuous lunch (featuring creme brulee by our own junior Charlie Compton) and a gallery of photography and appreciations. (Thanks you Sarah C and Daphne!)

Thanks to Victoria Szkatowski and everyone who helped with Saturday’s Plant Sale, PAG made nearly $700!

The Model UN Conference begins Wednesday after-school. Students return Friday.

The Junior-Senior Prom is this Saturday night at O’Maine Studios from 8 to 11pm.

Our semi-annual showcase and celebration of student work. Come one, come all. Dessert potluck. (This event will be preceded by an orientation for our new students from 5:30-6:30pm.)

PPS Student-Athlete Meeting on June 1, 2017. - 6pm. This is for EVERY student-athlete and family that may participate in ANY sports next year (be it Deering OR Portland). If a student will be a Ram - they come to the meeting at Deering HS. If a student will be participating as a Bulldog - they come to the meeting at Portland HS

Seniors Who Need to Do Service: There’s an opportunity to complete service hours during a free block in the next 2 days. A car is a plus. See Mr. Hale or Ms McCray FMI.

Seniors:  For those heading off to college in the fall, you will want to make sure your immunizations are up to date. See Ms. Bell FMI.

Sophomores and Juniors
1) The deadline to sign up for fall college classes at USM or SMCC is Friday May 26th. See Ms. Doyle or Mr. Hale FMI.
2) AP4ALL registration is this week May 15, 2017 to May 19, 2017.
AP4ALL courses are online and offered free of charge to any student residing in a Maine school administrative unit. Students who enroll in an AP4ALL course should be prepared academically and should be ready for the rigors of online learning. Contact Mr. Hale or Ms. Doyle FMI.

Seniors will be making their class rings this Monday and Tuesday (the 15th and 16th) in DR.
